Zeberced Football Club humble NUJ Football Club 5-2 at novelty match in Abuja

The Zeberced Football Club over the weekend in Abuja trashed the Nigeria Union of Journalists FCT Chapter football club 5-2 in a novelty match to climax the three days activities of the Union.
The bodies over the week organized health walking and jogging exercise for journalists which started from Berger junction to it secretariat at Utako in Abuja with Medical personnels attending to journalists, ranging from blood pressure tests, sugar level tests, and prescriptions.
Reacting to the victory, Alhaji Nasu Ibrahim, General Manager of Zeberced construction company, said they are not surprised with the scorelines, winning or number of trophies gotten but the huge impact or benefits it brings to both parties.
“The match is very exciting, it has been a very touching, feeling for us to be together. I was thinking you will not be counting the goals or the trophy but what happens and the benefits.
“This is the first match in the series and definitely thank NUJ very much for coming here to play the game, we have no reason not to be engaged sporting activities, we are going to engage NUJ again in it Press week.
“We’re looking at it as a success because we have interacted with them, we’re looking forward to the future interaction and advantage of spotting activities.
“Sport is courageous, health is worth, you know by the time you drill yourself. get rid of excess calories it will enable one contribute meaningful to the development of society,” He explained.
In his remarks, Acting Chairman of the NUJ FCT Chapter, Osaretin Osadebamwen commended Zeberced football club for engaging the Union football club as well as quality of football displayed by both sides.
According to him, “ the game was very interesting even though we did not emerge as we would have wanted to be.
“It is between the NUJ and Zeberced because it must have winner and loser,, it’s going to facilitate more bonding for both organizations as well as helping us to look other areas where we can begin to call on government to make investments that will improve the quality of lives of Nigerians,”he noted.
