The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP Benue State chapter has insisted that it stands by its decision to zone the Governorship position to a particular intermediate area.
Publicity Secretary of the Party Bemgba Iortyom made the insistence in a telephone conversation with our correspondent yesterday following complaints and refusal by Kwande PDP over the zoning arrangement.
Hear him, “PDP family in Benue State has confidence in the leadership of the trio of Governor Samuel Ortom, National chairman Dr. Iorchia Ayu and former Governor Senator Gabriel Suswam on the zoning of the Governorship seat in Tivland to Vandeikya. These persons cannot lead us astray. And as such we are solidly behind them in whatever decision they take. If the issue of zoning the Governorship to Vandeikya is generating issues, it is normal in the rein of politics.
“Kwande people have stake or claim to the Governorship but if leaders of the party have decided, then we have no choice but to go with their decision.”
