Zuchu, the Tanzanian singer and songwriter, has announced her separation from Diamond Platnumz, her husband and colleague.
a post via her Instagram story, the songstress revealed that she and Diamond, whose real name is Naseeb Abdul, have parted ways and are currently going through a divorce.
Describing the decision as one she announced with a “heavy heart”, Zuchu said she chose to prioritise herself after six years of being together with the singer.
The 32-year-old singer, born Zuhura Othman Soud, also wished Diamond, 36, and his family well, adding that she intends to focus on healing, her health and her career.
“Hello my GPG. My former partner and I are now separated and going through a divorce. I announce this with a heavy heart. After six years of being together, I have finally decided to choose myself,” she wrote
“I wish my former partner, Naseeb Abdul, and his family all the best. As for me, this is a time to heal and focus more on my health and my work. Our provision (or what was destined for us together) has come to an end.
“Praise be to Allah. We tried, but Allah has His own plans, and I have no choice but to accept them. That is human nature; that is life. Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal Wakeel.”
