Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, has relieved two commissioners of their appointments to revitalise governance and enhance service delivery.

The resettlement is contained in a statement released by the governor’s spokesperson, Dauda Iliya, on Thursday.

The officials affected are the commissioners for Environment and Intergovernmental and Special Duties.

The statement noted that Zulum expressed appreciation to the two officials and wished them the best in their future endeavours.

The governor, however, announced that Engr. Mohammed Habib and Ibrahim Hala Hassan will replace the two relieved officers.

Meanwhile, Zulum also approved Professor Yusuf Gana Balami’s appointment as the Executive Chairman of Borno State Secondary Education Board.

Balami, Professor of Education Psychology, hails from Hawul, in the southern part of the state.

He worked with Borno State Ministry of Education, and later proceeded to the University of Maiduguri as graduate assistant and he became a professor in 2014.

He is a member of several professional bodies and has authored countless publications as lead author or co-author.

The statement also added that all appointments have been communicated to the Borno State House of Assembly for confirmation.
