The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, has disclosed  arrested fifteen (15) suspects in connection with the violence and killing of the late Ahmad Usman, a member of a vigilante group, in the Lugbe area of the FCT.

This development is coming just a day after, the FCT Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello, called on security agencies to ensure that all those who participated in the heinous act are apprehended and prosecuted.

A statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Josephine Adeh, which was made available to journalists yesterday in Abuja, said the arrest of the suspects, follows ongoing investigations into the unfortunate incident and circumstances that led to the killing of the 30-year-old Usman, last Saturday.

According to the statement, the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, Babaji Sunday, assured that the Command would get to the root of the matter and bring all the perpetrators to book.

Also, the CP, while calling for calm, reiterated that justice would be served in the matter. 

He equally urged members of the public to remain vigilant, eschew every form of disorderliness, and report any suspicious or abnormal occurrence to the Police through the police emergency lines.

Recall that late Usman, was murdered and set ablaze by an enraged hundreds of mob, allegedly mobilised by an unknown cleric, following a heated argument, around Tipper Garage, in Lugbe.
