No fewer than 18 people died in a ghastly motor accident at Birninkudu Local Government Area of Jigawa state.
Reports from the state indicated that the accident uccured at around 6:30am along Birninkudu to Kano road where two Hummer buses had head on collision at Malam Alyssa farm, about 10 kilometers to Birninkudu town.
Confirming the incident, the Jigawa state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Lawan Shisu Adam said “today 9th, two 18 seater Hummer buses from opposite direction had head-on collision and went in flames.
He added that 12 people were burnt beyond recognition.
The police public relations officer added that 6 peoples died instantly. “Their corpses are deposited at federal medical center BirninKudu”.
