A total of 2,096 2024 batch C (stream II) corps members (comprised of 1,372 for Kaduna and 724 spillovers from FCT) deployed to Kaduna State on Friday, January 24, officially began orientation course at Kaduna temporary orientation camp.

Declaring the 21-day orientation exercise open, the Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, reiterated the commitment of his administration towards the safety and welfare of young Nigerian graduates deployed to the state for the mandatory national service.

Eulogizing the corps members, the governor said that Kaduna, being a microcosm of Nigeria’s diversity, is proud to host them, coming from diverse social backgrounds to contribute their quota to the development of the State.

Represented by the Commissioner for Environment, Abubakar Buba, the governor said, “the state has a history of producing transformative leaders, and we are confident that your time here will not only be impactful but also a life-changing one.

“So, this is not a routine exercise, but a gateway to leadership, discipline, and self-discovery.

“Let me assure you that the government of Kaduna State is fully committed to your safety and well-being.

“We have taken proactive measures to ensure that you can serve and thrive in an environment that is secure, supportive, and inspiring. We are working closely with the NYSC to ensure that your time here is not just productive but also memorable”, he promised.
