The Yobe State Commissioner Ministry of Home Affairs, Information and Culture, Hon Abdullahi Bego has led the management of the Ministry including Permanent Secretary as well as the Chief Executives of the various agencies under the ministry for the 2025 bilateral budget discussion.
The discussion, which was chaired by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Hamidu Isa Babi took place at the conference Hall of the SSG’s office, Governor’s Office, Damaturu.
The Commissioner while speaking during the discussion stressed the need for more financial backing that will help reinvigorate the state’s media outfit especially the State Television (YTV) for better performance.
Hon. Bego stated that it is high time for the state to have a standard television house that will not only defend the interest of the people of the state but compete favourably with other TV stations across the country.
He said analysis shows that the equipment of the TV station is absolute to the extent that repairing it is as good as wasting public funds taking into cognisance the modern and portable means of setting and operating a television station.
The super trainer of NGO in the FCT, Docas Idowu Sunday Ibrahim, disclosed this on behalf of the Executive Director while speaking to newsmen after the distribution of wheel-chairs to the disabled people in Gwagwalada recently.
She said the Executive Director of WOFAN had distributed a lot of fertilizer to the farmerss in the FCT in order to boost food production in the territory.
