The leadership of Legend Club in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday honoured ten personalities which included chief Michael Nwanikwe; Ochi 1 of Ochi and chief Hon. Udekwe Simon Nnamdi; Ebubedike Ndi Igbo as the club celebrated twenty-five years Silver Jubilee.
Speaking at the occasion, the Chairman of the Legend Club, Mr. Felix Obi, said the Club was established in 1997 with sole aim of promoting legend stout bear as a brand product.
According to the Chairman, today, we are celebrating 25 years anniversary with the unveiling of legend polo and giving awards to the distinguished personalities who contributed a lot in the development and existence of Legend Club.
He disclosed that Legend Club was charged with the responsibility of catering for the poor and less privileged children in the FCT and its environs, adding that the club was geared towards promoting peace and harmony.
Continuing, he pointed out that the club was involved in carrying out developmental projects in Gwagwalada and FCT at large, saying that every member was qualified to obtain financial loan from the club.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the occasion, chief Micheal Nwanikwe who is also a hotelier in Gwagwalada said he would continue to support the Legend Club in the area.
While fielding questions from newsmen, Nwanikwe thanked the management of Legend Club for the honour bestowed on him.
