The Kebbi State Contrroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Mrs. Rabi Bashir Nuhu has handed over a five traffickers, trafficking to Liberia through Sokoto State to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Briefing newsmen shortly after handing over the suspects yesterday to the NAPTIP, the State Contrroller said that, the four girls were rescued when intercepted at Yauir border post by Immigration personnel of the border patrol team in a commercial bus coming from Ogun state to Sokoto through Kebbi state.

She, said that after the interogation, they discovered that, the two of the victims Fumilayo Olutusin from Ogun State and Enabele lydia from  Delta State were 18 years old girls.

“They confessed that they are going to Sokoto State to meet someone that will take them to Liberia.

“We did not contacts anybody yet because they confessed to the offense while the other two said they were going to Sokoto to work.”

She further emphasized that the girl claimed that, she was going to Liberia as a house help, which is not true as we suspect she will be used for prostitution or for organ harvesting.
