Five out of 25 local government areas have rejected consensus chairmanship candidates as adopted by the APC in Niger state.
They resolved to embark on election to vote for who to pilot the party affairs in their councils.
Niger state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Congress ( APC) Committee, Senator Domingo Obende has confirmed that five local governments could not agree on consensus and went ahead with elections.
He made the announcement in a press briefing in Minna, saying that there was no imposition of candidate anywhere in the state because stakeholders agreed by zoning positions to various areas.
