Governor Isa Yuguda of Bauchi has declared the Federal Government has proposed building 5,000-bed capacity Hajj Camp for intending pilgrims in Bauchi
Isa Yuguda stated this yesterday, after he received a 2013 Hajj report from the State Amirul Hajj, Emir of Bauchi Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu in Bauchi.
Yuguda said this year’s intending pilgrims will be airlifted from the newly built Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport Bauchi to reduce the hardship experienced by pilgrims in Gombe and Kano airports.
He thanked the Amirul Hajj Committee for organising a most success full Hajj exercise and pledge to give Priority to first timers.
The Emir of Bauchi, who is the State Amirul Hajj Alhaji Rilwanu Suleimanu Adamu told the Governor that out of the 2530 pilgrims from the state that performed last year Hajj exercise only a female pilgrim from Gamawa died when she fell down from 11th floor storey building in Mecca.
