DSS, NSCDC charge offices commissioned in Zamfara LG

In its bid to contribute in curbing the lingering security challenges in Zamfara state, Shinkafi Local Government Council has constructed the charge offices of the Department of the State Security (DSS) and the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to serve at the local headquarters.
Speaking during commissioning ceremony of the two security offices which was performed by the state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Shaba Alkali in company of state Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr. David Abi, the Chairman Shinkafi local government council, Alhaji Muhammadu Sani Galadi said, the project was part of the promises made during campaign days on security matters.
Alhaji Galadi stressed the need of formidable presence of security, the only development which could pave way for the smooth provisions towards promoting economic, religious and political running in any society.
“Socially, we have to bear in mind that, the functioning security and stability of peace and unity in our towns and villages depends largely on our collective ability to support and provide the security with enabling working environment,” he challenged.
In his remarks, the Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr David Abi, has commended the local government Chairman over the project, assuring that, his command is making preparations to provide arms for the officers and men of the NSCDC of Shinkafi division immediately after finishing refresher arms training under the Nigerian Army.
