Niger State House of Assembly has considered and approved the total sum of N105,401,947,093, for 2021, and N119, 195,795,380 for 2023, amounting to N133,778,082,182.
The approved sum is for the State Medium Term Expenditure framework for 2021–2023 in accordance with Section 13(1) of the Niger State Fiscal Responsibility Law, held at the plenary of the House.
This was contained in a statement issued by the assembly Head of Department (HOD),Alhaji Sabo Adamu which was made available to newsmen yesterday in Minna.
According to the statement, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Mohammed Bashir Lokogoma, Wushishi Constituency, while presenting the report stated that, the MTEF is a multi year framework for working policy, planning and budgeting a medium term of three year period.
He further stated that it is a planning framework setting out fiscal policy objectives, fiscal target, revenue projections and aggregate expenditure limits.
