The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has faulted the latest request of N2.34 trillion loan by President Muhammadu Buhari which was read on the floor of the Senate by its President, Dr Ahmed Lawan.
The PDP has equally described as a mark of desperation, the attempt by the ruling party to attack it’s governors over it’s position on banning open grazing, restructuring, establishment of State Police and review of revenue formula which was to curb the intractable security challenges across the country.
The main opposition party, which addressed a press conference through its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan in Abuja yesterday, also
accused the ruling party of complicity in the unabated arson on the offices of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) across different parts of the country.
The party alleged that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were behind the burning of 21 electoral offices because of its apparent fear of loosing subsequent elections in the country due to its whanning popularity.
The party further said that the PDP governors had to convene a meeting in Ibadan last week to, among other things, find lasting solution to the lurking danger of growing insecurity and burning of INEC offices.
Ologbondiyan alleged that as a proof of it’s complicity in the INEC offices burning, the ruling party is yet to utter any word to condemn the act and order security agents to fish out the pepetrators.
He said, “We are worried, as a party, that the wining party at that. Whereas, no fewer than 20 offices of INEC have been affected, the government and the All Progressives Congress should be held responsible”.
The party described as a mark of desperation, the attempt by the ruling party to attack it’s governors over it’s position on banning open grazing, restructuring, establishment of State Police and review of revenue formula which was to curb the intractable security challenges across the country.
The PDP said, “It is instructive to state that the PDP governors, as patriots, directly spoke the mind of majority of Nigerians across board, in proffering urgent measures that would end acts of terrorism and wanton killings in our country as well as guarantee the national unity and economic wellbeing of Nigerians.
