ABU Professor emerges president of committee of Deans

State, Prof. Haladu Isa Bayero has been elected as the new president of the Committee of Deans of Education in Nigerian Universities (CODENU).
Bayero was elected during a two-day Biennial conference of CODENU, held at the University of Abuja, ASUU national secretariat, main campus.
In an interview with Peoples Daily correspondent, the new president of CODENU, solicited the support and co-operation of every member of CODENU.
He also appealed to the members to join hands with him so as to arrest the pending challenges facing the CODENU.
He said: “The way the election was conducted indicated that our victory is a victory of all”.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Dean, Faculty of Education at the University of Abuja, Prof. Benedict Michael Umaru, said the conference was successful due to the support of the Vice-chancellor of the University, the staff of faculty of Education as well as those in the University Community.
