A non-governmental organization, Integrity Support International Association (ISIA), has thrown it’s weight behind Abubakar Atiku and Ifeanyi Okowa ticket as they urged
Nigerians especially the youth to shun violence during and after elections.
The national coordinator/chairman board of trustee, Integrity Support International Association, Alhaji Salawu Abdulmalik while addressing Journalists and ISIA coordinators from various states and zones during a press briefing over the weekend in Abuja described Atiku and Okowa as best pair to paddle the seat of power in Nigeria.
According to Alhaji Abdulmalik, every hand must be on deck to ensure the best for this nation Nigeria. People need to be focused, resilient to ensure credible individuals like Atiku and Okowa are elected not because of party but to make sure we have a better Nigeria tomorrow.
Alhaji Abdulmalik said,
“Nigerians particularly the NGOs are strongly behind Atiku and Okowa race in the political arena. Thank God for President Buhari who is resolute in ensuring that this election will be peaceful, fair and free and also for INEC which is headed by Prof. Mahmud Yakubu who promises to do all it takes to make sure Nigerian people have their choice manifest.
“My distinguished coordinators from various states and zones, you are welcome to this wonderful new year some of you have not seen me since the beginning of this year, so I wish all of you a wonderful year ahead and a success in our ongoing project towards a peaceful election this 2023.
“Dust our PVC and get ready to vote for the right candidate and when voting, you secure your votes are properly counted, this is the basic message you take down to the grass roots, from unit to unit, from ward to ward down to local government and up to the state level so that our long suffering of emancipating Nigerian people towards a better governance will not jeopardized.
“As we continue sensitization for good governance, those who are planning and plotting to do all sorts of maneuvering will fail for the betterment of all Nigerians regardless of our tribes and religion. This time the votes of Nigerian people must count.”
Meanwhile, He admonished Nigerians not to put money and material issues first but to pursue a goal which will bring about comfort, job opportunities, enabling business environment, good health care and education. Vote rightly, do not allow anybody to buy your votes and do not sell your votes for cheap commodity
“Tell our parents in the village to stand up for their right no matter how old they are and go and cast their vote diligently and ensure they secure the vote. Our youth should not be used for violence rather they should tell those politicians to take their children and use them as thugs. According to the former president, no Nigerian blood is worth shedding for anybody’s loot, it is we that want them to manage us, so if we die, who will they manage”.
