Justice Balami charges Nigerian leaders on selfness services

A retired Judge of the FCT High Court of Justice, Hon. Justice Mwada Balami, has charged Nigerian leaders to render selfless services to the masses this year, Saying that the 2023 was a bad year due to the level of poverty and the security challenges faced by Nigerians.
Justice Balami, who gave the charge in an interview with newsmen during the New Year celebration in his residence in Gwagwalada, also frowned at the level of corruption being perpetrated by Nigerian leaders in order to accumulate wealth by all means.
According to the retired Judge, my prayer and happiness is that if I can get three square meal a day for my family, and that I can solve the problems of my family, that is my richness not to accumulate money.
He then called on the political leaders in the corridor of power to remain committed to provide purposeful leadership capable of satisfying the aspirations of the people, and warned the followers against conniving with the leaders to divert what was given to the less privileged ones.
Commenting on the Federal Government’s Palliatives, he revealed that some Nigerians did not benefit from the scheme, accusing the Government of failing to monitor the distribution of the palliatives .
On the dilapidation of the facilities in the country, he commended the Federal Government for the step being taken to repair the refineries to boost availability of petrol in Nigeria.
Balami, however, pleaded with the spiritual leaders of both Islam and Christianity to come together to reform the country for better.
