Osimhen states his own case in alleged altercation with Turkish journalist

Date:

Victor Osimhen has sparked intense speculation amid shocking reports that he allegedly punched a Turkish journalist in the head.

The 26-year-old Galatasaray striker made a cryptic post on social media amid the disturbing allegations.

Taking to his Instagram story, Osimhen posted a famous video of Ghanaian comedian and TV host Akrobeto Akwasi Boadi laughing sarcastically, with no caption attached.

As the scandal continues to unfold, Osimhen’s silence—paired with his sarcastic post—has ignited further discussion.

For now, it is unclear whether the Super Eagles star is preparing a more substantial response to the assault allegations as this new controversy is threatening to overshadow his on-field achievements.

The fallout from Osimhen’s alleged actions has sparked a heated debate among fans and the wider football community.

‘I’ll destroy you’ – Dethroned African best reportedly accused of ‘punching’ journalist in the head and allegedly offering shut up money

According to Turkish publication Posta, the shocking drama unfolded late on Thursday evening after a disappointing result for Galatasaray in the UEFA Europa League two days earlier, with Osimhen, dressed in a beanie and a yellow hoodie, and his entourage leaving a swanky entertainment venue.

However, when the Super Eagles star was approached by photographers, all hell apparently broke loose.

The cameras were flashing, and Osimhen’s temper allegedly went into overdrive.

Posta journalist Tolga Bozduman was on the receiving end of Osimhen’s fury as he recounted how he was allegedly assaulted by the Galatasaray striker.

“When the camera flashes went off, all hell broke loose,” Bozduman recounted, clearly still rattled by the altercation.

“Osimhen screamed and lunged at me. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him. He punched me in the head—it still hurts.”

According to the journalist via the aforementioned outlet, after the attack, the footballer allegedly tried to bribe Bozduman into deleting the incriminating photos.

“He offered, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money,’” Bozduman revealed, describing the audacious request.
