The National Population Commission (NPC) in  Gombe State said that the recent sensitisation exercise on electronic civil registration and vital statistics ( e-crvs ) has made a remarkable impact among citizens in Gombe state.

This was  contained  in a press statement signed by the Federal Commissioner in charge of Gombe state  Alhaji Abubukar Danburam.

The Federal Commissioner who explained that the campaign was part of a broader effort to modernise registration systems across the state said the exercise was geared towards the support of the state government, adding that the initiative was aimed at  ensuring that all children are registered at birth and that deaths are promptly recorded, thereby providing citizens with the necessary legal documentation and enabling more effective public service delivery.

According to him, Governor Inuwa Yahaya has shown remarkable support to actualize the e-crvs initiative which  enabled the commission to embark on an extensive advocacy tour across the 11 local governments and emirates throughout Gombe State.

He said, during the tour,  the officials and community leaders held interactive sessions to explain how proper registration of births and deaths done.
