The Baba Azimi Foundation (BAF) through partnership and Local Rights Programme (LRP) under the Inclusive Forum for Accountable Society (IFAS), organised a one day quarterly meeting to review and strategize for next quarters.
The quarterly meeting supported by ActionAid Nigeria (AAN), comprised Forum members including community representatives, MDAs, Civil Society Organisation and Media.
Speaking at the meeting, the IFAS Chairperson Barrister Aisha Sulaiman said, the Partnership and Local Rights Programme is conducted through the Forum with support from ActionAid aimed at addressing issues and challenges in some selected communities.
Barrister Aisha maintained that seven communities from three local government areas in Jigawa including Duwigi, Dan Abzin, Rakwata Sale, Rakwata Ado, Girtigini, Sabara and Aigwan Iro are benefitting from the programme.
The meeting provided chances to the members to discuss issues related to education, water scarcity, women empowerment and healthcare.
