The Permanent Secretary of the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA), Alhaji Ibrahim Umar, has reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Zonal Office of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).

This was contained in a statement signed by Faruku Umar, Head of Information and Communications at the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, and issued in Sokoto on Tuesday.

Umar gave the assurance while receiving the Acting Zonal Coordinator of NAHCON, Hajiya Hafsat Naibi, during a courtesy visit to his office.

He noted that the agency has maintained a cordial working relationship with the commission’s zonal office over the years, adding that the existing synergy would not only be sustained but further enhanced to ensure more effective Hajj operations.

The Permanent Secretary emphasized that strong collaboration between the agency and NAHCON remains critical to seamless planning and the successful conduct of Hajj activities for pilgrims from Sokoto State.
In her remarks, the Acting Zonal

Coordinator, Hajiya Hafsat Naibi, expressed appreciation to the Permanent Secretary for the warm reception accorded to her and her team.

She also assured the agency of the commission’s continued support and cooperation at all times to achieve shared objectives.
