The Economic Community of West African States has commenced its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting qualified citizens from member states, including Nigeria, to apply for over 30 positions across its institutions.
In a notice published on Thursday, the regional body said the recruitment aims to strengthen the implementation of its sectoral programmes.
Available positions in Abuja include Office Aide, Programme Assistant, Nurse, Protocol Assistant, Documentation and Archives Assistant, Office Manager (Bilingual Secretary), Junior Accountant, Legal Officer, Political Adviser, and several senior roles such as Principal Officer, Registrar, and Head of Division.
Other vacancies are located across member states, including Administrative and Finance Officer roles in Addis Ababa, Programme Officer positions in Liberia and Guinea, as well as legal and administrative openings in Senegal.
The organisation stated that applicants must meet age requirements based on job categories: 35 years for general services roles, 45 years for professional positions, and 50 years for director-level roles.
Interested candidates are required to complete an official application form, attach a curriculum vitae and a motivation letter, and submit them through designated channels before the deadline.
The deadline for applications is April 30, 2026.
ECOWAS emphasised that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned applicants against fraudulent requests for payment or personal financial details.
