Southern Kaduna Senator declares second term bid

 

Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, the senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, has officially declared his intention to seek re-election to the Senate, while calling on Southern Kaduna to remain firmly behind the All Progressives Congress in order to protect the developmental strides already secured in the zone.

 

He also pledged support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani’s re-election bids in the 2027 general elections.

 

The senator made the declaration during a meeting with APC Local Government chairmen from the senatorial district, held in Abuja.

 

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Midat Joseph, Senator Katung said his decision to seek re-election is anchored on the need to consolidate on gains recorded, complete ongoing initiatives, and continue delivering quality representation to the people of Southern Kaduna.

He said that the Renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the SUSTAIN agenda of Governor Uba Sani require experienced and committed lawmakers to drive them to the grassroots.

 

He charged party stakeholders to mobilise ahead of 2027, stressing that Southern Kaduna must remain firmly aligned with the APC to protect the developmental strides already secured.

 

He assured party officials of his commitment to unity, development, and inclusive governance across the eight LGAs of the senatorial district.
