The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), in Taraba State, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi, popularly known as Danji SS, has commended Governor Agbu Kefas for signing three Executive Orders to tackle drug abuse, political thuggery, and illegal mining.
In a statement on Monday, Danji SS described the orders as bold and timely measures capable of strengthening security, protecting the environment, and ensuring electoral peace ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the Governor’s action was a courageous step toward addressing key challenges confronting the state.
“I commend His Excellency, Dr. Agbu Kefas, for this courageous step. If implemented fairly and without bias, these orders will create a safer and more peaceful environment for all Tarabans,” Danji SS stated.
He particularly praised the Executive Order banning political thuggery, noted that it has the potential to guarantee a level playing field where all political parties and candidates can campaign freely without fear of intimidation or violence.
Danji also welcomed the crackdown on drug abuse and illegal mining noted that both issues pose serious threats to the state’s youth, natural resources, and long-term development.
While declaring his full support for the Executive Orders, the APGA flagbearer urged the Taraba State Government to ensure strict, transparent, and impartial enforcement.
He insisted that no individual or political party should be above the law.
Danji SS further called on his supporters and other political stakeholders to remain peaceful, obey the law, and work collectively toward ensuring a free, fair, and credible 2027 general ele ction in Taraba State.
People’s Daily reports that, Governor Agbu Kefas had on Sunday, 2nd August 2026, signed the three Executive Orders at the Exco Chamber, TY Danjuma House, Jalingo, as part of efforts to safeguard lives, property, and the future of Taraba State.
