The campaign for the former head of state, General Muhammadu Buhari to clinch the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) received a

boost yesterday when all former 23 chairmanship aspirants under the rested Congress for Progressive Changes (CPC) yesterday endorsed him as their preferred presidential candidate for the 2015 election.

Chairman of the forum, Alhaji Ibrahim Madadra who was spoke with journalists after visiting General Buhari, said that Nigeria is bedeviled with numerous challenges especially that of quality leadership and that it will require a God fearing and determined leader that will call a spade a spade like Buhari to salvage the situation.

The forum further explained that the problems of Nigeria borders around economy, insecurity, poverty, meaningful developments which the

present administration has failed to address and proffer solution to.

The forum chairman explained that Nigeria had leaders that left legacies and are been remembered for such outstanding legacies, but lamented that the present administration has nothing to offer or to leave behind other than lamentation of insecurity, poverty among several other challenges.

“Leaders are expected to have apathy for the led, but the present leadership has no apathy for her citizens and also lacks focus to provide good governance.

“We are calling on all well meaning Nigerians to rally round and give support to General Muhammadu Buhari for meaningful transformation, he did it before and we are optimistic that if given the opportunity again, he will not only do it again, but will do it better” he said.

The chairman of the forum however warned against any form of rigging, saying such attempt will be vehemently resisted.
