The National Civil Society Organisations Summit is set to hold a summit aimed at addressing peace, unity and security; economic and social development; the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and other critical national issues.
According to the organisers, the summit, with the theme, “Nigeria First: Our Future, Our Choice,” will bring together civil society organisations, community-based groups and other stakeholders to discuss practical contributions to Nigeria’s development.
The summit, which is scheduled to hold on October 2, 2026, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, will feature former President of the United Nations General Assembly, Prof. Tijjani Bande; former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami; Executive Director of the Centre LSD, Dr. Otive Igbuzor; and Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, as speakers.
“Discussions will address peace, unity and security; economic and social development; the Sustainable Development Goals and climate action; stronger institutions; information management; and international relations.
“Delegates are expected to arrive on October 1, with departure scheduled for October 3,” the organisers said.
