Kaduna state to be certified polio

Kaduna state Deputy Governor, Amb Nuhu Bajoga has said Kaduna state and the nation will soon be certified as polio free, before the end of the year.

He disclosed this at the occasion marking the 2014 world polio Day celebration in Kaduna yesterday Amb.Bajoga who was represented at the occasion by the state commissioner for health, Mr. Joseph Thot added that, the state has kicked off Polio eradication in the state to about 90% level, adding that the state achieved a great success in the eradication of the disease.

According to him, the state government is determined to stop polio across the state in order not to affect subsequent generation Speaking also at the event, the state health Educator, with State Primary Health Care Agency Kaduna state, Alh Hamza Ikara said the World Polio Day is part of the government effort in renewing its commitment to it citizen.

According to him, this day was set aside by the United Nation to mark polio in the whole world. He charged women to always make their children available for polio vaccination.
