Abductors of Delta PDP Chieftain demand N100m ransom from family

Abductors of the Delta People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chieftain, Dr Phillips Okwada have established N100million ransom payment contact with his family members.
Okwada was on Wednesday night allegedly abducted by a six – man gunmen in Agbor town and was taken to an unknown destination where they spoke from in the early hours of Thursday to demand for N100million ransom.
Police Commissioner in the State, Hafiz Muhammed Inuwah who confirmed the Kidnap of the former House of Representatives member to our Correspondent, said that the police have intensified efforts to ensure his release unhurt, adding “We are working hard for his release unhurt and we don’t talk about paying ransom among the police.
We are on top of the situation to release him unhurt very soon”.
Sources said Okwada was abducted in his farm land in Ewuru during nighfall as the motive of his abduction remained unknown as the time of filing this report just as the identities of his abductors.
Ewuru community had been a fledging industrial settlement and also famous for its efficient traditional orthopedics herbal treatment culture.
