The Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Alumni Association (Worldwide) is set to host its 18th Annual General Assembly (AGA), a celebration of unity, reflection, and renewal, scheduled for November 28-29, 2025, at the main campus of ABU in Zaria.
According to a press release signed by Mal Adamu Mamman Kontagora, President of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Alumni Association Worldwide, the event will kick off on November 28 with a Pre-AGA Lecture.
This session will be chaired by H.E. Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar CON, the Honourable Minister of Defence, and will feature a keynote speech by H.E. Senator Simon Bako Lalong CON, the former Governor of Plateau State, on the theme “The Role of Alumni in Promoting National Unity and Development.”
On November 29, the AGA will include elections, cultural performances, and networking opportunities. Distinguished guests will be in attendance, including His Excellency Sen Dr. Uba Sani CON, Executive Governor of Kaduna State; His Majesty Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Ugochukwu Achebe CFR, mni, Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University; Alh Dr. Yayale Ahmed, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council; His Royal Highness the Emir of Zazzau, Mal Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli CFR; as well as other prominent leaders from across the country.
