The President and Founder of Faith Women Fellowship, Evangelist Lydia Idoko, has called on Nigerian politicians to approach the forthcoming electioneering season with sincerity, maturity, and decorum, urging them to place the welfare of citizens above personal interests.

Speaking on Friday during the celebration of the 40th anniversary of Faith Women Fellowship in Makurdi, Evangelist Idoko advised political leaders to be more responsive to the needs of the people and work towards alleviating the hardships faced by Nigerians.

She also urged voters to be guided by their conscience and make informed decisions during elections.

“Politicians need to reflect and be sincere to the people. They should approach this electioneering period with maturity and decorum. The experiences of life should help us mature as a people,” she said.

Reflecting on the ministry’s four-decade journey, Evangelist Idoko expressed gratitude to God for sustaining her and the ministry through numerous challenges, particularly following the death of her husband, the late Justice Alhassan Idoko, in 1999.

She described the 40th anniversary as a significant milestone marked by God’s faithfulness, resilience, and divine support.

“Forty years in ministry makes me feel excited and fulfilled. When my husband passed on in 1999, it seemed as though my world had collapsed, but God, in His faithfulness and mercy, sustained us,” she said.
