Leaders have been reminded that the oasis of peaceful co-existent lies on their shoulders, hence the need for them to be cautious in their communication and utterances.
The Founder, Faith Women Fellowship Ministry International in Makurdi Evang Lydia Idoko gave this charge during the church’s Easter Monday fellowship program.
Evang Idoko stated that leaders should recognjze that their communication either individually or collectively on national issues, should not be spoken for self centeredness but overall good of the people.
According to her, ‘Nigeria as a nation is greater than any individual interest. No leader has the monopoly of solution to the country’s situation except God helps him.
“When we have the opportunity to speak to our leaders, we should tell them of the danger of their behavior or atitude on their personality, legacy and the effect on their children and future generations because leadership is not forever, it has a time line. We need to be praying for our leaders.
While decrying that the society is fast degenerating, she attributed this to lackadaisical attitude of parental responsibility.
