The administration of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has started the conduct of general assessment and valuation of all rentable properties within the twelve wards of the Area Council.
The Chairman of AMAC, Hon Christopher Zakka Maikalangu made this known during the world press conference recently in Abuja.
Maikalangu, who was represented by the Supervisory Councilor for special duties, Hon. Emmanuel Inyang said the assessment of properties would pave way for administration of the Area Council to know the buildings that were completed and uncompleted in the area.
The Chairman also said the assessment of properties by the government of AMAC would assist the Area Council to fish out where the schools/police stations to be built or erected.
He then appealed to the properties owners to co-operate with the officials who would carry out the conduct of assessment and valuation of all rentable properties at their respective areas.
He assured the residents that no resident would be harassed during the exercise, and urged the owners of properties not to disrespect the officers assigned by the Area council of their duties.
