The Village Head of Gbesna in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Dr. Alhaji Musa Yeto, has urged the chairman of AMAC, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu to deem it necessary to fence both primary school and
Junior Secondary School in the community, in order to safeguard such places.
Yeto, who made the disclosure while speaking to newsmen after the celebration of Sallah in the community, also charged the chairman to rehabilitate the dilapidated roads within the community.
He equally called on the AMAC boss to partner with the FCT Education Secretariat to establish a senior Secondary School in the community in order to prevent the children from travelling out to attend the Senior Secondary School in the neighboring communities.
He however alleged that the administration of AMAC had neglected Gbesna community in terms of basic necessities of life for so long, despite the inhabitants’ persistent appeals to Maikalangu.
On the forthcoming 2026 FCT Area Councils election, Yeto cautioned politicians against using political thugs to ferment trouble during the election.
