In its bid to improve energy distribution in the community, the Amuwo-Odofin local government area has donated a 500KVA transformer to the Nigerian Army Cantonment, Ojo.

The Executive Chairman of the local government area, Comrade Ayodele Adewale noted that the donation of the transformer demonstrates the local government’s readiness and commitment to boost security inside the barracks. He further emphasized that the transformer will help in providing energy to the barracks.

In his words, “The protection of lives and property is a serious business. We all must continue to help security operatives in achieving their set goals and objectives.”

While receiving the transformer, Lt. Col. J. O. Are, the Commandant, 149 battalion, Nigerian Army Cantonment, Ojo thanked the local government boss for the kind gesture, noting that spirited individuals like Comrade Adewale should be encouraged and tapped from.
