The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party,, PDP, has approved the nomination of a former Governor of Kogi State, Capt. Idris Wada as the Chairman of its screening committee for the Anambra State governorship election.
Other members of the committee are;
Sen. Ehigie Uzamere, Hon. Mrs. Martha Bodunrin and Hon. Jones Onyereri with Chief James Ugwu (SE Zonal Secretary) as member/secretary.
This was confirmed in a statement at the weekend by the National Organising Secretary of the PDP, Colonel Austin Akobundu, rtd, in Abuja.
The Screening exercise, according to statement, is scheduled to hold between today, Monday April 12 – Tuesday April 13, 2021 at the NWC Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja FCT.
The committee’s sitting begins 9am daily.
No few than fourteen aspirants obtained the PDP’s nomination and expression of interests forms for the Anambra governorship election.
The PDP primaries for the Anambra governorship election is slayed to take place on June 26, this year.
The PDP expressly declared that all the aspirants are expected to exercise exemplary conduct and strict adherence to rules and regulations during the assessment that will justify the confidence reposed in them by the leadership of our Party.
According to the statement by Akobundu, “The Screening exercise is scheduled for Monday April 12 – Tuesday April 13, 2021 at the NWC Hall, Wadata Plaza, Abuja FCT. Time is 9:00AM daily.
“It is expected that the aspirants will exercise exemplary conduct and strict adherence to rules and regulations during the assessment that will justify the confidence reposed in them by the leadership of our Party”, it said.
