APC Reps aspirant promises better deal for Bwari residents

An aspirant seeking to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Sarah Ivie Adidi, has expressed concern over the living conditions and challenges facing residents of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory(FCT).
Adidi spoke after concluding a consultation tour across several wards in the area council, where she engaged party leaders, stakeholders and residents ahead of the APC primaries.
The tour covered Ushafa, Bwari Central, Kuduru, Kubwa, Usuma, Byazhin and Dutse Alhaji communities.
According to the aspirant, the visits provided firsthand insight into the needs of the people and highlighted the importance of effective representation at the National Assembly.
She said the exercise was beyond political consultations, describing it as an opportunity to listen directly to residents and identify pressing areas requiring intervention.
“This tour has allowed me to truly listen to the people and understand their realities firsthand. Leadership must begin with listening and, where possible, taking immediate action,” she stated.
As part of immediate interventions announced during the tour, Adidi pledged the repair and repainting of the APC office in Shere Ward, payment of two years’ rent for the APC ward office in Kuduru and the provision of footballs for a tournament in Igu Ward to encourage youth participation through sports.
Party leaders and stakeholders who participated in the engagements reportedly commended her grassroots-driven approach, saying it demonstrated commitment to community development and responsive leadership.
The APC is expected to conduct its National Assembly primaries, including those for Senate and House of Representatives seats, on May 15, 2026.
Adidi had earlier secured the endorsement of APC zonal chairmen from the six geopolitical zones in the FCT ahead of the 2027 general elections.
