The Publisher of the Leadership Newspapers, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah has declared his intention to contest for the presidency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) come 2015, saying that President Jonathan has shown he is incapable of leading the country and that the time for change is now.

Nda-Isaiah stated this while delivering his speech during an event to declare his intention to contest for president in 2015 in Minna, Niger State.

According to the APC presidential hopeful, “Nigerians from everywhere yearn for change. They cry for a new direction because the country cannot continue on this path, that is why I want to be President. Under my presidency, all crimes will be punished, no matter how long it will take to apprehend the criminals.

“I will ensure we expand the various security services to match the challenges of our current size. We are going to modernize and increase our police strength from the current 370,000 to at least 1,000,000 and gradually grow it to 4,000,000”.

He blamed President Goodluck Jonathan for not given security the required attention which he said, led to insecurity in all parts of the country, alleging that the PDP has placed the ego of an individual above the interest of the larger society in the country.

Sam noted that to reduce unemployment in the country, his government will create an army of entrepreneurs all over the country, and thereby creating 25 million new jobs.

In his goodwill message, former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar said “any APC presidential aspirant is more qualified than Goodluck Jonathan, and whoever emerges after the primaries, we will all rally round him to ensure he wins the 2015 Presidential elections”.

Atiku further urged all aspirants both at the National Assembly, state and local level to go back to their constituencies and mobilize support for the APC.

In his goodwill message, Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi said majority of voters for 2015 will be young men. “If you think PDP will leave power for you, then you are deceiving yourselves, you and all Nigerians should effect change by voting PDP out if not they will never leave”.

Ameachi stated that removing security apparatus of the House of Representatives Speaker, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal was an indication that the police were not working constitutionally.

“It shows that the police is of the PDP. Only the National Assembly and the court have the right to do so. Even this morning (Tuesday) the SSS have withdrawn their men too” he added.

“Nda-Isaiah is a courageous man and on behalf of the governors, any of them that emerges we will support him till the end. We must sweep them out. If we wait for PDP, we will continue to suffer”.
