The apex federal bodies of Commodities Co-operatives limited in Nigeria has collaborated with the National Agro-Allied Commodities Co-operatives of Nigeria Limited (NACCON) as well as the National apex Farmers Co-operatives Societies Limited to improve food production in the country.
The National President of the National Agro-allied Commodities Co-operatives of Nigeria Limited (NACCON), Professor Emeritus Hajarat V.A. Adesuyi Adeyeye, who disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja on Saturday.
Prof. Adeyeye said the collaborations would focus on the Agricultural Agro-allied commodities co-operatives in value chain system in the country.
She added that the collaborations would pave way for poverty eradication in Nigeria through operation produces more foods and use Nigerian home made goods, saying that the partnerships will create jobs for Nigerians, wealth generation for the country as well as sustaining food security and food sufficiency in Nigeria and Africa at large.
