In line with the mandate its to supervise and monitor the FCT area councils, the Secretary Area Council Services Secretariat, Mallam Adamu Abubakar Bappah has promised to revamp Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs), to improve the wellbeing of the people.
Bappah made this assertion while on a monitoring exercise of PHCs in Pegi, Mawogi, Kpache and Dogonruwa communities, of Kuje and Abaji Area Councils, respectively.
He observed that some of the PHCs were in a bad state, due to lack of proper maintenance, resulting in some having collapsed ceilings, broken floors, roof leakages, thereby them to be inhabitable.
The Secretary however assured the communities that the Administration is working hard to make sure that all the primary Healthcare Centres are fully functional, so as to serve them.
Explaining that the monitoring was to make sure that available primary healthcare facilities are functioning, he called on the communities to make use of the facilities provided by the FCT Administration.
