Benue North/West forum backs Gemade for second term

The zone A’ Tiv media forum in Abuja, has expressed its readiness to support Senator Bananas Gemade for his second tenure.

In a statement issued and signed by the president of the forum in Abuja, Mr. James Ngutor said, the senator’s performance within the last three and half years at both the red chambers of the national assembly and for his constituency informed their decision to back him.

The statement explained that the forum which is nonpolitical is supporting Gemade because of his laudable achievements in terms of human capital and infrastructural development in the zone, adding that what the senator has done to the people of the zone, no senator has been able to achieve it in the state. Ngutor Described Gemade as humility personified who stand tall among his peers.

The statement further said Gemade has contributed in sharpening the socio-political and economic development of not only the Tiv nation, but Nigeria in general, therefore need to be respected.

“I tell you honour should be given to whom honour is due, our support for the senator is not political but on merit, he has done a lot to not only the Tiv people but to Nigeria as well” Ngutor said.

The president called on those opposing the senator for political reasons to rescind their decision and to instead reconcile with him in other to push the state and his constituency to the next level.
