A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Mamman Osuman has been honored with the prestigious ‘Leadership’ award by the African Bar Association, ABA, in South African.
The SAN who was honored alongside the President of the Republic of Ghana and three (3) Chief Justices of Malawi, Botswana and South Africa, joined the league of former honorees like ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and Justice Enang of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Speaking to newsmen on the award, the silk said he received a letter from the President of the African Bar Association telling him that the Council had unanimously included him as a member of the council.
“Following that, I have also been listed alongside our former President Olusegun Obasanjo, two justices of the Supreme Court E.N. Okoro and Abim Jessy, the President of the Federal Republic of Ghana, 3 other Chief Justices of Malawi, South Africa and Botswana. We were grouped together and an award for leadership in Africa within the frameworks of our professions. So, within the legal profession, they identified me and I was given that award.”
