Benue state government’s commissioner for Water Resources, Mr. Conrad Wergba yesterday passed on after a protracted illness.

There was grief and wailing when the news of his death was announced on the state radio by the Secretary to the state government, Dr. David Salifu.

Wergba, who hails from Ushongo local government areas of the state, is a graduate of Chemistry from University of Jos and has served the Benue state government in various capacities under the administration of Governor George Akume and the incumbent, Gabriel Suswam.

He was Special Adviser to George Akume on Special Duties and later served as commissioner for Information and Water Resources under the present government of Governor Gabriel Suswam.
