Date:

From Femi Oyelola, Kaduna.

As the Boko Haram onslaught continues unabated in the North-East, mothers from region have called on the First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan to advise her husband and those in authority to find permanent solution to the incessant attacks on their region, especially the latest attack launched in Adamawa and Gombe states.

In an open petition to Dame Patience Jonathan and made available to the media in Kaduna, the representative of the mothers, Dr. Yuwanna Mivanyi appealed to the First Lady who is referred to as Mother of the Nation not to close her bowels of mercy to mothers and children from the North-Eastern states.

The mothers appealed to the First Lady to come to their rescue. “It is not time for buck passing; those who sow in righteousness shall reap in righteousness while those who sow, plant and execute evil shall reap same. This is not about being religious, it is about you and your maker, there is a day to die and after that judgment,” the petition read.
