In order to reinforce Kaduna’s development trajectory, Governor Uba Sani on Monday received the British Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mrs. Gill Lever OBE, and her team at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna.
The high-level meeting, described as both productive and strategic, centred on deepening collaboration between Kaduna State and key United Kingdom development agencies, particularly the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO).
Governor Sani disclosed that the engagement provided a platform to review progress on major joint initiatives, including the Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (PACE) and the Sustainable Power and Irrigation for Nigeria (SPIN) project.
According to him, these interventions, among others, are pivotal to uplifting the quality of life in Kaduna and fast-tracking sustainable growth.
Mrs. Lever, in her remarks, commended the Kaduna State Government for its notable achievements in strengthening peace and security, particularly through the much-acclaimed Kaduna Peace Model.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to collaboration, Governor Uba Sani pledged to intensify Kaduna’s strategic partnership with the UK in the interest of good governance, peace, and the continued well-being of the people.
