Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court Abuja, on Thursday, discharged and acquitted DCP Abba Kyari of asset declaration and money laundering allegations brought against him by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

After a full trial in which witnesses testified and evidences presented, the Court held that the prosecution failed to prove the allegations beyond reasonable doubt, as required by law.

Accordingly, the court discharged and acquitted Abba Kyari alongside his two brothers, Muhammed Baba Kyari and Ali Baba Kyari, of all the 23 charges contained in suit NO: FHC/ABJ/CR/408/2022.
