Governor Uba Sani has arrived in Beijing, China, at the invitation of the Chinese Government to conclude high-level negotiations on a $200 million poultry project earmarked for Kaduna State—an ambitious investment projected to become the largest poultry hub in West Africa.
The project is expected to generate $450 million annually, create over 350,000 jobs, and dramatically contribute in strengthening Nigeria’s food security architecture.
The Governor is in China alongside a Federal Government delegation led by the Director-General of the Nigeria–China Strategic Partnership, underscoring the national significance of the mission.
The visit comes as Kaduna continues to re-emerge as a preferred destination for global capital, owing to renewed investor confidence, recent infrastructural upgrades, and Governor Sani’s aggressive economic diplomacy drive.
Last year alone, the State has attracted major commitments in agriculture, renewable energy and industrial development—positioning it as a central pillar in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic expansion agenda. The China-bound discussions follow earlier technical engagements between Kaduna and several Asian investors, all pointing toward a broader strategy to turn the State into Nigeria’s industrial food-production powerhouse.
While in Beijing, Governor Uba Sani will hold strategic meetings with major firms, including the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), to seal agreements on technical collaboration, technology transfer and long-term investment. He also conveyed deep appreciation to President Tinubu and the Chinese Government for their sustained support and reaffirmed Kaduna State’s determination to attract transformative, job-creating and revenue-yielding investments that will uplift millions and reposition the State for global competitiveness.
