The Christian Aid has urged Nigerian women to challenge the stereotypes that works against their progress and tends to make them second class citizens.
Executive Director, Legal Awareness for Nigerian Women, Barrister Rebecca Sako-John stated this during the celebration of International Women’s Day held in Kaduna yesterday.
According to her, Nigerians should choose to challenge the notion that women wait for savior, saying she celebrate their self-organising and mobilising power as they support each other.
This according to her, enables each of them to meet their household needs such as medical expenses for a family member who is ill, school fees and uniforms for their children, or capital for their businesses.
