Completion of Apo–Karshi road project “answered prayer” – FCT ALGON boss

The Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), FCT Chapter, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has described FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike’s ongoing work on the Apo–Karshi Road as an “answered prayer” for the residents of the territory.

Maikalangu, who made the declaration recently, praised the Minister’s decisive intervention on the long-delayed route, hailing it as a landmark development that will permanently transform transportation, commerce, and grassroots connectivity across adjoining satellite communities.

According to the AMAC Chairman, commuters and local businesses along the corridor have endured severe transportation bottlenecks for years, making the Minister’s direct intervention a historic relief.

“On behalf of the people of AMAC, particularly residents and communities along the Apo–Karshi corridor, I sincerely appreciate the Honourable Minister, Barr. Nyesom Wike, for the ongoing work on this very important road.

“This is a project that means a lot to our people. It will open up communities, improve movement, stimulate economic activities, and further connect our people to opportunities,” Maikalangu stated.

The FCT ALGON leader emphasized that Wike’s commitment to the project demonstrates the administration’s resolve to extend major urban infrastructure into rural and satellite areas.

Reaffirming the full support of the Area Councils, Maikalangu assured the FCT Minister of continued local alignment to ensure the successful delivery of projects that directly improve the welfare and livelihoods of residents.
