Nigerian-Isreali Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture, has called on the Federal Government to set up a Private Sector Donations Scheme to cushion the effects of the coronavirus scourge.
The National President of the Chamber, Shebeti Sule, stated in a statement made available to media in Kaduna. The Chamber also advised government at all levels to always be guided by the available data in the respective areas of its policies in the fight against coronavirus.
Sule added that government must consider the economic consequences that will follow in an attempt to lift the lockdown without a proper examination of all the inadequate facilities that are abound in the country.
According to the statement, “ we are concerned about the economic effect taking into account of all medical and scientific theories for the prevention of this World pandemic disease”.
The President opined that there is the need for tightening of security to prevent criminality especially in the farming communities, while calling on government to ease the availability of affordable fertilizers and chemical.
Sule also urged Nigerians to adhere to the prescribed preventive measures, just as he lauded Governor El-rufai for is proactive action in the fight against the deadly disease in Kaduna State.
